On May 9, 2017, City Council approved developments to the Calgary Traffic Bylaw, allowing the Residential Parking Permit (RPP) program to start using online permits instead of passes and hang tags for resident and visitor parking. As a result, today residents enjoy more consistent and effective enforcement and the ability to manage their permits online rather than hoping they don’t lose their paper permits.

How to Apply

Residents apply for and renew their parking permits online. However, if you do not have access to the internet, there are other options available.

Visitor Parking

Visitor parking passes are  digital as well. To start and stop a visitor session all you  need is your guest’s licence plate and you’re good to go! Click “Learn More” to learn how to start and stop a visitor parking session.
