Online Application and Renewal

On December 4, 2023, all parking permits will have a new fee. As a result, you cannot renew your parking permit until then. This does not apply to Market and Low-Income Market Permits.

Residents can renew their Residential Parking Permit(s) within 60 days of the permit’s expiry date. If you have not moved and your vehicle is still registered to the address where you require the permit, you do not need to re-submit your vehicle registration or other proof of address documentation.

  1. Log
  2. On the left-hand side menu click Manage Permits
  3. Click the Renew button to complete the renewal process

The Renew button will only appear starting 60 days prior to your permit’s expiry date.

Market Permits automatically renew monthly if payment is successful, no action is required.

Low-Income Market Permits expire on the last day of the same month your Fair Entry approval expires. As your eligibility is based on income and Calgary residency, you must apply for the Fair Entry program annually and maintain your Fair Entry approval status. Once you are approved, you can renew your Low-Income Market Permit by re-applying on the Residential Parking Permit System.

No Internet Access?

If you do not have access to the internet, we are here to help. To apply, you can come to our Impound Lot location with the required documents, or you can send us copies of your vehicle registration via fax or mail and then call us at 403.537.7000 to create your account.

If you have additional questions about the online RPP system or the renewal process, please visit our Q&A page.

Parking Permit Fees

On December 4, 2023, a Council approved fee structure for all parking permits will be introduced. Until then, there is only a fee to obtain a Market Permit or Low-Income Market Permit. The Select Permit will also be available on December 4, 2023.
