Q: Why was the Market Permit introduced?
A: We recognize the policy changes may impact residents of large multi-residential buildings (four stories or more in height or with more than 20 dwelling units) as they will no longer be able to receive a Residential Parking Permit. To reduce the impact to these residents, City Council has approved the introduction of a new permit type called the Market Permit which allows citizens who live in large multi-residential buildings to park in a Residential Parking Zone (RPZ) within 150 metres of their address
